For the beginning of a new decade, we’re not off to the best start – in my book anyway. Not just on an international level with all the kerfuffle about who shot down what plane and who assassinated whom. That’s on the other side of the planet. I’m thinking more close to home. I seem to have lost an idol.
Yes, I am going to talk about Christmas Carols. No, I’m not a fan. As I’ve mentioned before, most of them are miserable songs that are usually just a half-step away from being a funeral dirge. Sure, they say “Yay, the savior is born!” But they do it with all the zeal of an Eeyore on heroin.
I saw an article recently that claimed (and probably rightfully so) that Baby Yoda was more popular than any Democratic Presidential candidate, Donald, Republican candidate, and, in fact, any other politician. Of course, he is. Baby Yoda has many things going for him… so Baby Yoda 2020?
It came up again. I’ve mentioned it before. I’ll probably mention it again. Am I the only one who thinks that the concept of a birth certificate is not only silly, but it’s patently absurd to think it could be used as a form of identification? It can’t really just be me, can it?
It’s not a war on “Christmas.” The holiday itself is lovely. Peace on Earth actually being practiced? Yes, please. Let’s have more of that. (And we don’t have to limit that part to this particular holiday.) But there are some issues that need addressing.
I think the title says it all. As long as you agree, you can skip the rest of this… unless you want examples. By the way, I’m not referring to their importance in the sense of, let’s say, the School For Unnecessary Ellipises (where William Shatner got his degree in Unusual Hyphen Placement).

I know, that sounds like a horrifically silly question. Bizarrely, I think it does have merit though, and if you’ll stick with me on an explanation of Pokemon and, in particular, the game Pokemon Go, I think you’ll find something quite interesting.
I should have known. I should have seen it coming. I never have any luck with anything that’s the color orange. They had a good reputation. Good online markings. And they have let me down. Repeatedly.
Clothing is wonderful when you need to be outside when it’s cold, but why. exactly, is nudity a problem?
